About a year ago, I heard that still small voice calling me out away from the shore. Unlike times in the past, when that call would scare me to my core, this time there was an excitement to the idea. What had changed was my perspective of the One who was calling me.
I walked the plank as if there was no danger. I think I actually jumped off doing a cannon ball. What was once a very scary place now seemed like a playground. Sometimes I would find myself in awe of how easy trusting Him came.
"Failure is an education, not a judgement." - Donald Miller
These words spoke loudly to me when they came across my Facebook news feed. Later on I went to dinner with a friend who was talking about facing something she was afraid of and nonchalantly said, "If it isn't perfect, the world isn't going to stop spinning." Or something to that effect.
